Earth's Radiation Belts as Measured by NASA's POLAR
This series of 3D images shows how of the Earth's radiation belts
change in size and intensity, waxing and waning in response to
activity and acceleration inside Earth's magnetosphere. At times
belts can almost disappear, while at other times new belts can be
created. The images are drawn from data on energetic particles, as
collected by NASA's Polar spacecraft.
